Continue into Chachoengsao province to Wat Saman Rattanaram, famous for its enormous reclining pink Ganesha — the Hindu god of wisdom and new beginnings. At 22 metres long and 16 metres tall, the vibrant statue draws devotees who come to leave offerings of fruit, flowers, and sugarcane. Explore the surrounding shrines dedicated to Chinese, Hindu, and Thai deities, each rendered in vivid, larger-than-life form. Next, visit Wat Phrong Akat, a peaceful temple set along the river and reached by crossing a striking bridge flanked by giant naga serpents.
