About MyProGuide
MyProGuide connects travellers with licensed local guides across Asia. Every guide on the platform holds a government-issued licence, has been interviewed by our team, and works with us directly — not through a subcontracting chain.
What we do
We are a tour operator with local teams on the ground in each country we sell. That matters more than it sounds: when something goes wrong on the day — a road closure, a delayed flight, a guide who falls ill — there is a person in that time zone who can fix it.
Our guides design the tours they run. They are not reading from a script written in another country, and they are paid properly for the work, which is why they stay with us.
Why licensed guides
In most of the countries we operate in, guiding without a licence is illegal, and an unlicensed guide cannot get you into certain sites at all. A licence also means the guide has been trained on the history and the safety rules of the places they take you.
We verify every licence before a guide is listed, and we re-check when it expires.
Insurance and safety
Every booking made through MyProGuide includes travel insurance for the activity. Guides are background-checked, and our local team is reachable during your tour.
How to book a tour
Booking takes a few minutes and you are confirmed immediately — there is no waiting for a guide to accept.
- Choose a tour and a departure date. Every tour page shows what is included, where you meet, and how long it runs.
- Pick your ticket types and the number of travellers. The price you see is the price you pay — taxes and fees are included.
- Enter the traveller details we need for that tour. Some tours ask for a hotel address (for pick-up) or a flight number; most only need a name and a contact number.
- Pay online. You will get a confirmation email and a QR voucher straight away.
- Show the voucher to your guide on the day. That is it.
If something goes wrong
Contact us at support@myproguide.com or through the local team listed on the country page. If we cancel, if the weather makes the tour unsafe, if the minimum group size is not met, or if your guide does not arrive, you get a full refund or a different date — your choice. That applies to every tour on the platform and cannot be switched off by the operator.
