Strict dress code applies at the Grand Palace. Shoulders and knees must be covered — no shorts, sleeveless tops, or see-through clothing. Sandals and flip-flops are discouraged; closed-toe shoes are recommended.Sarongs and cover-ups can be bought at the entrance for guests who arrive underdressed, but this may add wait time. The Grand Palace is an active royal site and can close without notice for official ceremonies. Your guide will advise on the day if this affects the visit. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended — the Grand Palace complex involves significant walking, largely uncovered and in the sun.
